Indoor Activies for Winter in Austin
When in Austin there are many things to enjoy when it’s warm outside, but what about when it’s cold? Have no fear if the weather doesn’t work out for you then there are plenty of fun, indoor activities in the city. Some of which may even come as a surprise to you.
1.K1 Speed
Located in North Austin this track is an entirely indoor go karting experience. You can go up to 45 mph and you can also check out the historic collection of racing memorabilia. The beauty of this track is it’s open 365 days a year so you can always get out on the track. Additionally, for those who are concerned about carbon emissions the karts are completely green and electric.
2. iFly Austin
There are multiple iFly locations across the country, but if you are looking for a unique experience then this is it. This is essentially an indoor skydiving experience. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the feeling of skydiving without the fear of falling thousands of feet then this is the spot for you. Like our previous mention this location is open nearly 365 days a year so you can always scratch your skydiving itch.
3. Austin Central Public Library
The Austin Public Library is a building filled with art and Austin History. Not to mention if you’re like me and you love to read it’s filled with all sorts of books and knowledge. It’s home to a beautiful rooftop garden that provides a great view of the southern portion of the city. Lastly, it has a great first floor café that serves amazing pasta and coffee.
Hopefully you’ll be able to find at least a hint as to something fun to do in Austin during the cold, winter months. If this list didn’t intrigue you, hopefully it will put you on the right track towards a fun activity.
